About FCC
In 1921, a band of 35 brothers and sisters in Christ began meeting together in a house on the corner of Cherry and Johnson Streets in downtown Bluffton. Their dream was to restore the passion, practice, and fruit of the church described in the book of Acts. With adventurous hearts and courageous spirits this fellowship of believers followed Christ and eventually moved to the corner of Spring Street and Clark Avenue in 1957. Over the last 4 decades additional facilities have been built and staff hired in pursuit of our vision.
You can see the fingerprint of God in our fellowship. The FCC family is a vibrant, loving place to connect with God and people. We offer contemporary and blended worship that is energetic and creative, as well as excellent childcare, exciting children and student ministries and challenging programs for adults.
Our Purpose at FCC
Our purpose is to align ourselves with FCC's CORE VALUES...
- Lost people matter to God, therefore they ought to matter to the church.
- Prayer is the life line of the church.
- Full devotion to Christ is normal for every believer.
- The church is a trauma center for wounded people.
- The church should be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure.
- Ministry happens best in teams.
- Life change happens best in community.
- Worship is a lifestyle.
WHAT FCC BELIEVES

- The Bible is the inspired Word of God - a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105)
- Every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all people have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
- Forgiveness of sins and promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.(John 3:16)
- Those accepting Christ should repent of their sins, confess their faith, and be baptized by immersion in water as a demonstration of an authentic, surrendered heart. (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38)
- The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to fulfill God's purposes. (Ephesians 4:1-16)
- Jesus Christ will one day return to each personally, visibly, and bodily to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-16)
